Knokke-Heist - Hotel La Réserve Resort in Knokke has become the first hotel on the Belgian coast to receive the prestigious five-star superior label from Tourism Flanders. This recognition is a reward for the exceptional quality and service offered by the hotel, just one year after its opening.

Outstanding facilities and services

Hotel La réserve offers a wide range of luxury amenities that contribute to its high rating. The hotel has 79 rooms, including 29 junior suites, an Executive and Presidential suite, and a 270-square-metre Royal Penthouse. In addition, the hotel offers a high-end wellness centre with six massage tables, a swimming pool, hammam, sauna, and a gym equipped with Technogym equipment. Breathtaking views of the Zegemeer lake, the casino and the North Sea add to the guests' exclusive experience.

Cooperation and excellence

The recognition is a result of intensive cooperation and investment in sustainable materials and excellent hospitality. Bart Versluys, co-owner of La réserve, emphasises the collective effort behind this success. "From day one, we pulled out all the stops. We invested in everything that can make guests' stay a top-notch experience," Versluys said. Co-owner Marc Coucke also shows himself extremely satisfied: "From the first design drawing, we set the bar high. It makes me particularly happy that La réserve is the first five-star superior hotel on the Belgian coast".

Gastronomic delights at la rigue

The restaurant la rigue, headed by renowned chef Peter Goossens, plays a crucial role in the hotel's high standards. It offers high-quality dishes accessible to a wide audience. "We try to bring dishes that are accessible to everyone, but high quality at the same time," says Goossens. The hotel also offers a sumptuous breakfast and an unforgettable dining experience overlooking Lake Zegemeer.

Monster score in hotel review

Hotel La réserve scored impressively high in the Tourism Flanders assessment. It achieved a monster score of 800 points, well above the minimum requirements of 710 points for a five-star superior status. This underlines the exceptional quality of services and facilities offered by the hotel(Knokke Heist).

Contribution to tourism in Flanders

La Réserve's recognition contributes to the tourist appeal of the Flemish coast. Flemish tourism minister Zuhal Demir praised the hard work and quality that led to this achievement. "The award of the label further puts our Flemish coast on the map as a tourist attraction," Demir said. This label not only supports La Réserve's individual achievement, but also the overall quality image of the entire accommodation sector in Flanders.
